Yeah idk if Boyz II Men needed Babyface. I think they had a monster era that would have been almost impossible to replicate.

Plus, it's not like Babyface and those Yamaha keyboard tunes made it out of 1999 either. He was declining himself.

Yup in the nutshell. After their second album Boyz II Men never reached the same level of success again with their subsequent albums.

they still went platinum on the Evolution album and had hits without Babyface

Their biggest song ever was with Mariah
Then 4 Seasons of Loneliness and On Bended Knee were with Jam and Lewis and both were #1 hit singles
It was not "the end" without Babyface

Tell them that.  They were VERY pissed when those subsequent albums didn't smash like the first couple.  They didn't just outright fail but each album performed worse until they fell to the wayside

thats the point. Chili made it seem like they did fail and they didn't. But when they did fully fail Babyface was not the catalyst

I think the album he did with Toni was great.  I had it on repeat.

The only hits he had after the 90s were Most Girls by Stink and Best Mid I Ever Had

Yea he has writing and producing credits on that as well, nine is stupid.  Babyface is almost 70 so OF COURSE he's not gonna be churning out hits as he did in his prime but to act like he aint BABYFACE is crazy
