Certain people and companies aggressively trying to disparage hip-hop acts with the expectation of monopolizing where only they benefit. It started to become a sympathy/likability contest.

It's beyond Nicki and Drake but even those 2 are more than enough to validate as they're huge parts of the rap market. When you try to force and "level" the playing field, it devalues the market.
