It's clear as daylight that Don was there to make a spectacle of the mess. And stir mess up.

This "there as a reporter!" talking point is just as bad as people saying ICE agents are "just doing their jobs!"

Yeah you can attempt to hide behind a technicality, but people have common sense and can sense underlying motives.

He knew they were going to "disrupt business as usual." There was also footage of him saying they were going somewhere but he couldn't disclose where beforehand.

Reporting a story entails keeping up as developments unfold and staying on top of it after the event happens

And most importantly, remaining neutral and simply.....reporting the tea.

Not playing a part in organizing the mess and helping to kick it off.

Even if he was there solely as a reporter (which is a load of shit), he crossed professional boundaries.

KNOWING is not a crime DUMBASS. Even if he knew beforehand that they were going to disrupt the service, he is still allowed to be there in his capacity as a fucking reporter, protected under the first amendment. Reporters can choose not to disclose their sources. If you can't see how this is Government overreach then I hope you burn in hell.

And if he crossed professional boundaries, he can have his accreditation rescinded, not ARRESTED.

Why are you name calling me in every post? Didn't y'all have a problem when Nicki did it?

I already said the "just there as a reporter " angle is a load of shit.

You might as well say ICE agents should be left alone cuz they're just tryna do their job.

Motives are only unclear to people who choose to ignore them for whatever reason.

I prefer to call people on their BS. There's clearly something more under the surface than these agents "just doing their job" and this "reporting" angle for Don is laughable

Except YOU don't get to determine motives. A judge looked at the EVIDENCE and decided there was nothing there. The Trump Justice Department still ignored that and chose to go it alone to put on a spectacle. Evidence is only unclear to those who choose to ignore it I guess.

here's the problem with this talking point though

I never accused Don of doing anything illegal or agreed that he should be arrested or charged. I literally said I doubt anything serious will come of this arrest.

I said he was being messy and the logic behind the stunt was severely flawed because the Bible is inherently anti-illegal anything ... which would include illegal immigration

So back to the drawing board

its def clear Trump and his minions are just tryna "make an example!" out of Don

"grrrr! show dem da consequences!  :fuming: "

with this stupid case that will ultimately be a waste of taxpayer money and resources

but i wouldn't feel bad for Don. this is kinda what he wanted - a circus. and he's not gonna get heavy time, if any at all.

this is actually good for his platform. the logic behind the stunt was still stupid.
dsnfjfdjsnfds

but this is good for him. these images of him being arrested, "fight da power!" performative teas.

this is what he's going for.
super transparent, but good for him and his white husband.

Kalifornia.

The same law applies both to the native-born and to the foreigner residing among you. — Exodus 12:49

Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the foreigner or the poor. Do not plot evil against each other. — Zechariah 7:10

When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God. — Leviticus 19:33-34

The community is to have the same rules for you and for the foreigner residing among you; this is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come. You and the foreigner shall be the same before the Lord: The same laws and regulations will apply both to you and to the foreigner residing among you. — Numbers 15:15-16

Do not deprive the foreigner or the fatherless of justice, or take the cloak of the widow as a pledge. Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and the Lord your God redeemed you from there. That is why I command you to do this. — Deuteronomy 24:17-18

"Cursed is anyone who withholds justice from the foreigner, the fatherless or the widow." Then all the people shall say, "Amen!" — Deuteronomy 27:19

This is what the Lord says: Do what is just and right. Rescue from the hand of the oppressor the one who has been robbed. Do no wrong or violence to the foreigner, the fatherless or the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place. — Jeremiah 22:3

"So I will come to put you on trial. I will be quick to testify against sorcerers, adulterers and perjurers, against those who defraud laborers of their wages, who oppress the widows and the fatherless, and deprive the foreigners among you of justice, but do not fear me," says the Lord Almighty. — Malachi 3:5
