Well part of a "skilled" singer is being able to sing in that register...

L0NZ.

Hmm I don't think range has anything to do with skill

It sure does. Being able to do so is in training your vocal chords  :uhh:

You're both right. Every person a range that their voice "naturally" has, which is where contralto, soprano, tenor etc definitions come from. But, you can train your voice to sing higher/lower.

So, I wouldn't say Chante having a whistle register makes her skilled but I would say her still having a strong whistle register - at her age - is absolutely due to her skill.

I don't know how to say this, but you're absolutely fucking WRONG. And relax. No one is saying Tamia isn't also a great singer

as someone that has actually studied this topic Im not
and I don't stan for Tamia
Just giving the knowledge that singing higher notes doesn't make a singer more skilled

klappa.

I have seen all of these ladies live (except keke) and they are really all great.  Fantasia is the best performer but chante and Tamia really are just WHEW. I didnt like Chante's song choices on that lil Asian shit but she definitely IS amazing without those whistle notes, let's be clear
This is my pass to say WHATEVER tf I wanna say about the mess she releases so I don't wanna hear SHIT! Baby mama is a mess of a song btw
