I keep seeing u guys say that it's short and it's actually not short at all. For comparison these are other audio biographies I've read(listened to)

Terrell Carter Problem Child (7hrs and 34m)

Charlie Sheen The book of Sheen (8hrs and 58mins)

Robyn Crawford A song For you (A good read. The book about her life with Whitney) 10hrs and 24mins

107 Days by Kamala Harris (9hrs and 58mins)

Thicker than water by Kerry Washington (8hrs and 59mins)

Unbreak My Heart Toni Braxton (7hrs 43mins)

RABBIT-The autobiography of ms pat (7hrs and 23 mins)

Jennifer Lewis The Mother of Black Hollywood  (10hrs and 47 mins)

Jaleel White Growing up Urkel (8hrs and 14mins)

Karrine Steffans Confessions of a video Vixen (5hrs and 42 mins)

Britney Spears The Woman in Me (5hrs and 31mins)

Brandy's book is over 12 hrs. Literally longer than them all.
Tina Knowles and Barbra Streisand were the only biographies that are longer that I read. Tinas is almost 18hrs and Barbara's is 48hrs :omf:

The book is just a good read and you fags sped read thru it

This is my pass to say WHATEVER tf I wanna say about the mess she releases so I don't wanna hear SHIT! Baby mama is a mess of a song btw

Gilgamesh.

I wonder if people would feel differently if there was a lot of "new" information in the book?

I think that's what it is. She spent most of the time on her young years and then breezed through adulthood

That's probably what it is and also the fact that alot of the people here are more than casual fans so some of this we know or have heard.  Im enjoying it tho and digesting it slowly. I'm only at the point where she's backstage  bugging rickey minor. These mfs were done with the book 2days ago  :uhh:

not a slow roast mess

but honestly that's how books are usually consumed (traditionally). i think audible teas def make things seem "short"er than what they really are.

especially if u consume it all in one or two listening sessions, as opposed to sitting with the physical at night and reading til ur sleepy.

Barbara and Tina are both ancient.
Brandy isnt even 50 yet. Her bio shld be shorter.

Also you dont typically write a bio for your super fans who likely know almost everything about you because you deliberately search for the details.

You write to change a narrative that casual fans may have and hopefully captialize on that once it spreads.

She can always do a part 2 or she may be saving stuff for the movie
I'm bossy/I'm the first girl to scream on a track

One of my favorite books of all time.
Such an amazing read. I couldn't put it down.

The way she delivered the audio book felt like a new Moesha diary entry. Every line she read felt so intentional.

The NY event last night was amazing. And met some starz!

Hatsumomo

I almost feel like she's going to do another book soon.

Her speaking as "baby bran" in the earlier part of the book

Or quoting Whitney — it made me emotional at times hearing her speak . Feels like you're there.

I loved reading along as she spoke

Harlem

I want to say I love Angie's and Brandy's dynamic! Angie was able to open Brandy up to feel comfortable and free! I want to see an IRL podcast interview

On another NYC LOVES Brandy, the call and response at the event yesterday lmao, ppl were hyping her up and reminding her who she was, you can tell she received it. I would love for Brandy to just live in NYC for a short period of time

You right.

I was trying to slow down tbh. I thought I had slowed down until I got to brandy saying "acknowledgements"

I was like shitttttt but yeah it's so good. I have no real complaints about the book.
