episode 1 is focused on Boyz II Men
and Nick Lachey (98 degrees) is admitting that every "boy band" that came after them was modeled after them.
then they flashed this ad of Lou Pearlman (record exec who formed NSync/Backstreet Boys) literally looking for people with a White boy (New Kids on the Block) look and a Black boy (Boyz II Men) sound
i thought Netflix created that to be dramatic and illustrate a point. like no way he actually put an ad out that was so blatant. so i researched and wow
am mean we know it happens but damn it was like right there in writing.

these receipts give SO MUCH credence to what has been speculated about Living Single / Friends too
