Quote from: ATLien on March 18, 2026, 04:50:08 PMnow Tank....  :usuresis:

i have a lot of luv for King but

this is def ambitious. wont be an easy one shot knock out for Tyrese as he's not an Usher tea either

but it'll at least be interesting. it's a good match
this is a fair assessment
Like The biggest hit played is gonna be Sweet Lady, which I'm sure he's gonna hold on to until the end. After that, Lately and How You Gonna Act...
and their voices are so different

Tank hands down has the smoothest voice by far

my boo Ty has a grittier tea and a very pleasant raspiness to it that tends to add a lot of dynamic to his songs

and i wanna say Ty's voice "stronger" but Tank can PUSH too when he wants to.
i'd say Tank has way more "technique". Tyrese is more raw

oof. bitch the more i think of it, i'm READY  :scrumptious:

they're both fucking amazing. i'm way more biased to Tyrese but i really love them both

Also I'm sure they're gonna throw some collabs in there from TGT

Gilgamesh.

Tanks lil podcast got him feeling a way  :plzstop:

klappa.

i feel like if tank had the same machine behind him that cryrese had, he'd shit all over him, tbh

Scott.

Unpopular opinion: I think that Jaheim and Tank would've been a better match for a Verzuz

kinda, I mean he was signed to Blackground records and we see how they did all their artist, even Aaliyah

i think Tank coming out later kinda gave Tyrese a leg up

Tyrese was able to be marketed as "young fresh" talent which kinda gave him more legroom
even for opportunities outside of music - playing "Baby Boy", etc.

Tank kinda had to take the "grown n sexy" angle which I believe may have automatically limited him a bit

i'm actually shocked to learn they're only 3 years apart after checking just now
i def expected to see a 10 year difference.

but i think it's because we were introduced to Tank when he was older, that's all.
so i generally just remember him being "older" than Tyrese even tho he's kinda not.

They're both equally yoked tbh.

Tyrese don't have that many hits either outside of Sweet Lady, Lately, How You Gonna Act Like That,  and maybe I Like Them Girls, Just A Babyboy and Nobody Else.

false.  Its not even about just CERTIFIED hits. Its about hits within in the community and tyrese ABSOLUTELY has more of those. Shame was definitely an R&B hit, pulling me back with Chingy, The Best man I can Be, signs of love making, What you like with Da Brat, etc.  They are DEFINITELY not equally yolked :dead:
