i can actually see the logic in what Jay is saying with the part-ownership thing

people can be so focused on a "look" and being able to claim something that they don't remember what matters in the greater scheme of things

yeah u own 100% of a tea but is it actually making an impact or do you just own 100% of nothing

his wording that it will "not ALWAYS" lie in 100% ownership makes sense to me. of course it's beneficial to have completely Black owned businesses but there is a strategy in latching on to teas as well

sometimes us showing up in those rooms where decisions are being made and having input as part owner can make a big impact. and many people use the money they make from those positions they're in to fund their own 100% Black owned business, and are able to apply what they learned from working on the backend of bigger businesses to their own business to ensure it's successful.

so i get it

I don't disagree but it's, once again, a flaw of his. What do you call purchasing a white business to give the false illusion for a few years to make it appear black-owned to get black people's support, and then selling it again to become a white business?

It's called "rich folks things". Things you AND your faves don't know shit about. So stop trying to understand it

Smart business?

If you are talking about Tidal....

Music listeners didn't buy what he was selling and leave Spotify and Apple in mass like he thought they might

You keep trying to make something dirty about him selling Tidal

Turn on your whole brain
Not just the conspiracy theory part of it

As he speaks against a right-wing agenda, he becomes best friends with and continues business dealings with them. Jay is a manipulator.
