the current Chief of the Chocktaw Nation is predominately White too
if u look closely enough with a trained eye you can kinda see his Indigenous ancestry IMO. but still predom. White and the Chief

i mean technically if they're part of the culture they are "Native American" as they are technically sovereign nations with their own laws/rules as to who is considered part of the tribe
some tribes just have VERY low "blood quantum" requirements. which is why men like that one in the OP , as an actual registered member of the Cherokee Nation, can flat out say "I'm Native American". not even "mixed" or "of Native descent"..but flat out just Native - because technically it's true. although socially people will kii.
but there a LOT of White people with 0 connections and 0 Indigenous Ancestry pointing to pics of their clearly White great grandma talkin about "look at her cheekbones!"
Black people get a lot of flak for claiming the "Cherokee great grandma" thing but Black people are actually more likely to have Native connections ancestrally just based on history and actual data alone.
