ghan isnt PURE R&B, she crossed over and can chart on both charts easily. This is why she was hugely more successful than her competition. R&B/POP easily in most situations= More successful.

Mon  yes...only time she was anything else was mainly with the help of brandy

Honestly... I cant think of anyone who is TRULY iconic that stayed doing straight up R&B.
