the show just needs more black people. the blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice. the show was off to a great start with the rap categories and everything, and as soon as they threw dem country artists on the stage...whew lawd!

They had Adele, Justin, and Taylor. They thought that was all they needed for ratings. They couldn't put real R&B talent on the stage or it would show up their watered down favorites.

I was just about to say this. Grouping all these artists together was dumb, including Tori and James Bay. It weakens the performance cause each artist holds back and compromises their true showmanship for the sake of the duet.

umm sorry but Tori and James KILLED! The only worthwhile pairing of the night. I woulda like to see james separately  singing hold back the river but W/E

I loved them. But maybe it cause I've watched so many live Tori performances and James performances, I've seen both do much better and I'd appreciate them more separately. VOCALLY, they were superb. Maybe by that time, I was just over the slow tempo songs. But they were good.

If the BET Awards are the EBT Awards, then what are the Grammys? The Grandmas?  All I know is we do it better.  Congrats to Kendrick for having the performance of the night.  I also liked Stevie Wonder and Pentatronix.  Was nice to see what Hamilton is about since I keep hearing about it.

Basically, they lied about who would be there and even showed Beyonce's dressing room like she was performing and they still failed.  It's kind of what they get.

Every big name black artist needs to show up and show out at the BET Awards just ONCE more.
and BET needs to get a better staging budget n mess.

EBT needs to clean that mess up, I get where SOME of the black artists are coming from
