Brandy,

You post a meme that says, "Confidence is silent, insecurities are loud."  Then you proceed to make post after post about how good you think you look. And, you don't see the irony?  You don't have to toot your own horn.  We tell you you're gorgeous all the time because you are.  It's true.  We know about your accomplishments because we are your fans.  That's why we follow you in the first place.  You don't have to do the Kanye West thing where you have to build yourself up.  Woman, you're built!  It ain't cute. And, it ain't confidence. 

So you blocked me for reminding you about what you posted.  At least I know you read my comment before you deleted it.  I'm 33 and I've been a fan for twenty years.  I'm still a fan and I will be purchasing your album when you release it.

Brandy has been one of the most insecure artists over the last 20 years and just when it seems she's ready to know her own value/worth, it becomes a problem? She's 20+ years into her career and she is approaching 40s, I think the media training should go out the window. She has earned the right to say just what the fuck she wants to say, when she wants to say it and how she wants to say it. I'm not going to lie, I don't find her to be hilarious but I do enjoy the fact that she's being comfortable in her own skin.  Those who love her for her and her music will stick around, those who don't will walk away. But at the end of the day, those that matter will still buy into the Brandy brand....the real Brandy's brand.

Confidence and humility are not mutually exclusive. Sadly, most people think you have to be quiet and meek to be humble.

She's cared so much about the opinions of others that she constantly questioned herself and her choices. Until she developed a sense of fear and anxiety where before there was none. Now she gives 0 fucks about what anybody thinks and I'm LIVING! Don't pull her down just yet.

Yeah, something tells me that what we're seeing may actually be the real GHan.
We have to remember how properly media trained she's always been, etc.
Not saying the humility was an act, but she may have been more cautious before to come off as cocky, maybe she didn't feel she had the right to.

But if she feels it now I'm definitely on board with saying she has the right.
She's a grown woman expressing herself and it seems genuine, especially with the pooches at certain angles and mess.  She's just saying what's on her mind it seems.

We're just used to her smiling and nodding all the time.
At least this is interesting and conversation worthy behavior from her.
