I think Tat' is mixed. I remember my Mum saying she's Douglah (Indian/Black mixed).

She is mixed one parent is Afro-Caribbean, while the other is Carribean of East Indian (not indigenous American) descent. That's why she has the "good hair" and was teased. I think both of them are from Latin countries. Hence her being Latina. A black/East Indian Latina.

Yeah, Melanie is Guyanese ad Tat is Trini. Both countries have a big Indian population.

Crazy just looked up that 33% of Trinidad & Tobago are actually Asian/Desi/East Indian.
