Jennifer Hudson is better suited for stage acting and I feel the same way about Brandy right now, with her current approach to acting. Very "big" and a little over the top but that's what the stage requires

Bran is amazing on camera but I'm just talking right NOW. Broadway is all up n through her system. And people like Jill Scott and Jennifer Hudson belong on Broadway for SURE. At ALL times in my opinion

Angela, Viola, Meryl, Alfre have ALL established themselves as great film actors, but that's because their discipline is in the theatre.

Brandy was MEH on DDD! She needs to work on her dramatic acting all around imo. Sometimes she's good when she needs to cry and sometimes it's not believable enough,  or genuine. I don't have an issue with her on zoe, comedy is where she prevails. She always talking about trying something different,  that needs to be a dramatic role, where she needs the most help

it's too much, and the timing and prosody is out of place very often...

Eva Longoria for example, she is murdering television. Her precision in the execution of her lines in Telenovela (and back then DH)

Brandy had that as well on Moesha.

When Brandy talks in that high pitched voice all of a sudden, or just shouts out her lines, like in a theatre production...

You can tell when the script was wordy, she just learned it by heart and blurted it out with some sass, instead of breaking down the actual words and giving them meaning.

I cannot praise Letoya's acting enough and Rih SLAYED Battleship! Just saw it a couple weeks ago and was surprised!
