I see where Young is coming from tbh. Personally, I just see dark, in the middle/brown and light skin. But like I said everyone has a different perception. Young has a point and the ones who are always saying "we're all black! doesn't matter!" tend to be DARK them selves and say that because they're treated like shit within the black community for being dark skin so they want everyone to be viewed the same way.

I think it's scary how people view themselves tho. LIke how does Sevyn dark self SEE a brown woman? I was shocked!! My brother is brown but told me he's dark skin It's just interesting. Then you have people who are clearly dark brown but claim to be light skin. It's kinda craze.

Iono about glen but i dont ever feel like I've been treated like shit for my complexion.  U can't generalize something like that. If anything the DARK niggers would be the ones bitter and mad and pointing out the differences and someone lighter would be giving a "we all black" because they're given such a hard time

Like NONE of that.  I was just saying that i dont go around thinking black blacks and light blacks. Honestly,  people who go around thinking color all the time seem miserable to me.  Like i said, even before this thread,  i didn't see the ads for this movie and think oh a bunch of yellow and brown niggas. It was a movie with BLACK people, period

Whites might not consciously see light/dark/medium, they WILL however subconsciously treat you differently/preferentially and/or feel less threatened by you.

This is common sense and it's not just whites. Other Non-blacks are the same way.
