I feel bad for these artists trying to get started after 2011
The whole MTV, VH1, BET, music video's debuting on TV, exclusive radio premieres etc magazine covers, exclusive behind the scenes era is gone
All they have now is the Internet

!!!!!!!!!!!

It was so easy for artists to get a hit if they were signed.
it was far from easy IMO

People still flopped if the public didn't use :dead:  but it does suck that they only have the Internet
but labels in general just put more effort and money into new artists then than they do today. They literally just throw these girls out there and just see what the fuck happens. They don't even have a fair shot anymore...

!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Let's throw it on iTunes and make a Lyric Video for YouTube! good lucks! dont forget to tweet your fans!"

They should've thrown Nick Jonas or Zayn on the track......

Mel.

I'm glad I didn't purchase it.
she should be lucky someone of his caliber would even work with her

and how his name made a lot of people even check for her, including me
cause I sure wasn't pre-Chris Brown feature.

the whole industry is a huge huge mess right now.

Who is actually safe?

I was just thinking about this days ago. Who of the latest newbies are really making it in the music bussiness? Is Zendaya making it? Is Tinashe? is Rita? who else is out there? I dont even know! lol. No joke, this is sad.

The only people making it are the already established ones: Adele, Taylor, Ariana, Megan Traynor (clear product), Rihanna... and only a few more. And thats it

Big mess indeed.

Checkmate Burruss

So yall mad bcuz she's not all "yessuh massa" to bitchass RCA. Her real fans/core don't want this poppy shit that RCA is trying to force her into. The thing is she had a following before being signed to them and all they are doing is watering down what she established. She's really the type of artist that need to be independent.
THEY DO ANYDAMNTHANG FUH BSOURCE CLOUT
