Yeah...I don't like this. Just take the stuff back and ban him from the store. Like someone in the comments said...technically, it's not theft UNTIL he walks outside the doors.

Every dollar counts IMO. That guy could be trying to support his family from that store and some idiot is in there taking food out of his kid's mouths......

OR, the thief doesn't have any money to feed his kids and and this is his last attempt to do so. I think both side can have a really good reason to act like they did.

But at the end, violence isn't the solution. He should have call the cops and that's it.
