A 5 album deal? Damn. But I remember that Sean Garrett interview where he said $700,000 was spent on 2/11. And the article states the second album they would have paid $600,000. I think signing a deal for that many albums is a double-edge sword. If you sign a one or two album deal, the label may not invest as much into your albums and promo. If you sign a 5 album deal, they may hold you hostage.
