She was probably optimistic and believed he had her best interest. I'm sure she didn't expect anything shady to happen. Just a lesson learned. I'm not gonna blame her for anything. I have a feeling that she genuinely wanted to release music much sooner.
!!!!!!!!!!!
This is my pass to say WHATEVER tf I wanna say about the mess she releases so I don't wanna hear SHIT! Baby mama is a mess of a song btw

I agree. I think she was eager to get music out to us. She wanted to make us proud but for what the  2/11 era was worth compared to the rest of her eras/catalog it was NOT worth it.  :fuming:

why did Ghan sign with a damn Chameleon and not a major label from jump? No shade

Shes BRANDY..like..it never made sense to me.

And what worries me most is..can she even win this case?
Does she even have a leg to stand on?

If you signed the contract with Chameleon Im sure there's a clause in there that says she'll fall under the label and rules of Breyon and what not regardless of the label theyre currently on. Hence the RCA dropping and now them going under Epic.
If she signed something that agreed to that, how can she win?

Shes honestly gonna have to create a movement; an under the radar kinda mess.
This is is gonna be tough musically in the in between time.
it would appear that she's fine tbh :dead: the contract is terminated Hun. She signed wth them because she's been doing that since human

Distribution deals without signing with majors completely. Now, she definitely chose the wrong people (again) but it's still smart in theory. There's no reason for her to sign to a major because you see how that's been "working out" for these other girls

One of the main reasons she's going the independent route now is because she's BRANDY. Full and complete utter control, period. Y'all are taking this as a Jojo situation and it ain't. Jojo couldn't put out a damn THING because she was hamstrung and stuck and didn't have the name and pull Brandy does. She couldn't create her own imprint, not even jokingly :dead:

Things are moving and still coming! She ain't blocked from putting shit out and booking stages. She's blocked from signing yet another distribution deal ... For NOW. She'll win the case
Haha, that's my BITCH! :plzstop:

ABC news picked up the story, also a little bit more tea... It's exactly what I said. She already terminated the contract, she just wants to cover her ass in the future in case they try to come for her.

QuoteThe suit says Brandy signed with Chameleon in 2011, which released her album "Two Eleven" in 2012. The deal gave Chameleon the option to release four more Brandy records, but her suit says the label refused to allow her to record a new album.

The lawsuit says Brandy terminated her contract with Chameleon but wants a judge's ruling that it is void

QuoteBrandy is suing a record label that she says has refused to allow her to release new music.

The Grammy-winning singer sued Chameleon Entertainment Group in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday, claiming it won't allow her to record or release new music in an attempt to get her to sign a new recording deal.

The suit says Brandy signed with Chameleon in 2011, which released her album "Two Eleven" in 2012. The deal gave Chameleon the option to release four more Brandy records, but her suit says the label refused to allow her to record a new album.

The lawsuit says Brandy terminated her contract with Chameleon but wants a judge's ruling that it is void.

An email sent to Chameleon seeking comment was not immediately returned Wednesday.

That's my girl. Get it Brandy! *dances*
