Iman really doesn't have any hmm soul or hood in her voice... Iono how to put it. You can hear she's not African American... She has a beautiful speaking voice however.

wth?

so ALL African-American's have to sound hood or have soul?

For Keyonc?

The African-American community def. has it's commonalities and shared traits, etc.
HOWEVER, you can't generalize the whole entire group. We're still individuals. There are still sub-cultures within the AA culture. For the African-American individuals who don't fit the mold of what you believe they are supposed to sound, act, look like, well you may just meet one who breaks that standard. Don't categorize us based on what appears to be the majority. A lot of this also comes down to socioeconomic status as well.

I can see how you would feel that way not being apart of the particular community yourself, but  you're wrong.
