I'm sure as he finds out more about his bulkier African lineage he will be doing the same; and I have the slight suspicion that it wouldn't rub people the wrong way like this Melungeon discovery has for some reason.

But you have to understand fininding out about "free people of color" is a lot easier and there are more records for those types of cases in our ancestry. It's extremely hard to find out in great detail about our African heritage as much was just completely stripped and wiped away. So in knowing this and adding the fact that he was CLOSE to his grandmother only more fules the fact that he wanted to start his ancestral journey with this side of his family. Nothing wrong with that and you have to start somewhere

Like u said this recent phase has sparked interest in some so now it's a topic that we are discussing here, whether we want to or not.  Every thread doesn't have to be about him.  U opened the floor for conversation so let the conversation be had. Lis, if I'm his "lil sis" then that thought shouldn't have even crossed his mind Afro and I have actually had personal convos and he used to send me lil updates and pics of his family. I told him I'm happy for him but honestly I couldn't help but roll my eyes when he linked me to the last thread and at that moment I felt like maybe, I should inform him that this is becoming a bit much but I figured it wasn't my place so I kept it pushing. I made that thread because of the "Questions black people have for blacks" thread.  I had that video fave'd for some time now and wanted to share it on here for the celeb reactions to not having NA blood. I think the fact that he felt like I was being shady with that thread speaks volumes to his character and his own internalized issues. I'm good on that. This isn't Iman's first time pulling something like this. I feel if you really like me as a person you'd PM me to call me out on something , not create a shady thread and then piggy back off of everyone else's comments once you felt the coast is clear. You're no better than any other faggot on the sideline throwing jabs that I really don't care about.

That's fake. And I have zero tolerance for something like that once I see it for myself. Wish her well on her own Ancestry quest though. Too bad I won't be helping her though, was really looking forward to doing that. Because I see the importance of the research for everyone, not just myself. And I'm glad I encouraged others to take that step.
