Cuz I use to listen to his background vocals and mess and he could kinda GO...

This is really a preference thing
Luther is a more competitive vocalist
While Michael is more versatile vocalist

Michael Jackson had a pop voice . Earlier on in his career it was more soul, but as he became more mainstream it's very much Pop. Luther is soul 100 percent .
