what in the HELL, I just don't understand why only that generation, the 80's

Aretha, Diana, Gladys, Patti, Cher and a lot of singers from older eras been kicking forever

i'm guess they just lived TOO hard and it caught up with them. But I always thought Prince was fairly healthy, never heard reports of drug abuse and such

Madonna and Janet seem fairly in good health tho

Prince sold albums before death.  David bowie doesn't have anything near a 13x platinum album. And OF COURSE people are gonna buy his music,  that's  protocol when musicians die,  silly question
