Its not EXACTLY TRL tho.  This wonderland show is alot of stuff all wrapped into one. Musical guests is just also a element which is what im excited about

U are aware that Vh1 and Mtv are owned by the same people, right? So this mtv aint vh1 is void. Mtv is not some place that only recognizes mainstream artist. If Tyler the Creator who is a NOBODY can win a vma, they can give jill scott an hour long show, Ledisi,  avery sunshine and others can perform on vh1 big buzz, then these girls who are very known in the world of R&B can get an unplugged.

Viacom owns BET too it makes no difference
and Tyler is a rapper, they always get recognition
there isn't even a best R&B artist award at the VMAs
they are not gonna be giving R&B artists an unplugged on MTV in 2016
unless they are white

BET doesnt air the mtv awards and other mtv shows. Mtv and vh1 are SISTER stations
U have no idea what ur talkin about tbh, go look up the people who have gotten unplugs. Unplugged was not some christina, backstreet boys type of show EVER! There were some famous faces but alot of opportunities were given to up and comers, indie, etc. MTV gives opportunities to rap and R&B. One of the first damn unplug specials aired and the performers were mclyte, ll cool j, de la soul, a tribe called quest, etc. This was when rap wasn't even a respected genre and not regarded highly.  Some of Ya'll be talking and don't know the history on  shit
