And Ring The Alarm video/song was the basis for that faux Good Girl Gone Bad gimmick/image she's been toting around, even after gettin her shit rocked by Christopher Maurice

All I know is Bey didn't start tryna serve EDGE until Rih came along and made it work.

i mean kelis?..janet had her very edgy moments?. the list goes on..rhianna didn't start it and nor was she the first bigger black female star to be edgy either.

Boyyyyyyyyy

So you think a few curse words = rihanna influence

Cause that song is similar to NOTHING in rihs catalog

it's all opinion though. influence can come from anywhere. brandy wrote a list of influences in her human album credits and some came after her. i honestly just think beyonce evolved. she knows her brand, but she also knows she couldn't stay in bday mode her entire career. she's a student of the greats before her and i think she embraced the cracks in the idea of perfection. kinda hard to push that vibe all the time when ur sister is caught fighting ur husband in an elevator lol.

In what possible way though? It's not the vocal styling, it's not the lyrics (when has Rihanna ever been THAT aggressive with words), couldnt be the genre
