Is Beyonc?'s Album Guaranteed To Go To Number One? Not Necessarily

Typically, when Beyonc? releases an album, it immediately shoots to number one. At this point in her career, such successes are almost a given, but with her latest album, the semi-surprise visual epic Lemonade, there is a chance she might not end up in her usual position.


The singer originally debuted Lemonade as an hour-long film on HBO this past Saturday night, only releasing the music on its own online as the movie was ending. Since then, there has been some public confusion about where it can be heard or if it can be owned, though the dust seems to have settled and the masses are listening. There are three factors that make me wonder if Lemonade is a shoo-in for the top spot next week: the timing, the price, and the streaming availability.
