Her DJ kept us hype during the whole hour and they let us know that she was in the building so we weren't really upset since we knew she was at least in the vicinity.

She was actually there early. She just didn't come out until in an hour in and gave 2 hours of an amazing show. There are a lot of people involved, she might not have been the sole reason they didn't hit the stage at 8:30 sharp. And her DJ set the mood to get people excited and enjoying themselves so that when she came out, the crowd was already full of good energy.
