California King Bed is a POP song :uhh:
Then why did she perform it at the CMAs with jennifer nettles :plzstop:
I swear y'all love to discredit this bitch :kii:

Bey did the same thing YEARS earlier with Jennifer on "Irreplaceable". Is that a country song too?
Yes, there are country elements in that song as well. Ya'll are so fckn insecure. Because i applaud This bitch dont mean im discrediting the next.  That's what YA'LL do :dead:

Christina Milian could have Rih's career.

I actually agree. She's likable, pretty, decent singer, etc

Keep in mind, being versatile to me is being able to SELL (convincingly) that particular song/beat/music/lyric/groove,etc. you're singing.

So why did the general public latch on Rihanna's typical reggae mess "Work" and not the other records?

And what song completely out of her usual genre Urban/Pop has been a hit?

:rudone:

4,5 secs gives u a folk rock, rockstar 101 is self explanatory, we found love is the ultimate dance record, California king bed is a country record, i mean do we have to sit here and go thru the hits :dead:

Rockstar 101 flopped
California King Bed flopped (Pop record anyway)
She's been doing records like We Found Love since her 3rd album (Don't Stop The Music & half of GGGB falls under the same category)

Maybe 4,5 seconds, but without Paul McCartney on it would you consider it versatile?

The foundation of all her music is pretty much Pop with some Urban influences. She dibbles and dabbles but she's never abandoned her foundation completely and fully tackled another genre.

So have to fully tackle around genre to be versatile?
Is that your definition?
RIGHT! I guess she needs to become a full fledge country artist before we can say versatile. :dead:

You two are the ones who said she COMPLETELY changes genres.

Y'all act like she's Bjork or something.

She hasn't done anything that Bey Ci or Nicki haven't done. Their stans aren't calling them genre shape shifters.  :dead:

Well she is experimenting with different genres. I didn't say that made her a country artist. Like cool tf out :dead:
Didnt beyonce just do a country twang song and that's what ya'll are calling it? Im not commenting on or concerned with what ya'll say about beyonce. Im in here talking about RIHANNA! Only the beyonce fans are coming in here like OH NO! SHE'S NOT! Beyonce aint passed my fckn lips. Ya'll are ridiculous :dead:
This is my pass to say WHATEVER tf I wanna say about the mess she releases so I don't wanna hear SHIT! Baby mama is a mess of a song btw

Your whole argument is that she's the MOST versatile currently. Wouldn't that imply she needs to do more than dibble and dabble here and there like most artists out already do?

And outside of 45 seconds the other "genres" she tackled flopped on The Hot 100.

Like Yummy said if you wanted a Rih praise thread you could've done better.

Rxxf

Bey can get credit when it's due.
Rih can't ever seem to get credit on here for anything.
The song "Work" alone is not something any random female artist out right now can GET AWAY with it and sell convincingly.
:dead:

But Hey.

Same goes for the Shakira duet. The Rihs want her to be an "artiste" so bad but she's still taking pages out of Bey's book.

the MOST versatile is relative MY LOVE...
relative...
:uhh:
key word "relative" to climate of the industry

you really think BEY did some DEEP genre connecting with her latest SLAY?
:uhh:
But relatively speaking, she was versatile...

That's the whole point.

Stop taking this to 100. Chill.
