"Refill", the song with J. Cole, the song where she had them ghey in the video. Sis was on the RISE... It did not take much, and she could have properly broken through...

K. Michelle said something about the label/management team comparing them, Elle losing her identity over hanging out with her.

Then the management's fault. K ain't got the power to effect nobody's career.

Well people can affect people, does not take much power, just time spent together.

I'm speaking on her career. He relationship with K had nothing to do with her career stalling. And before they became friends, Elle hadn't release an album in 2 years

Yea, i was immediately turned off by refill, even after hearing the album was actually ok. I guess refill resonated with some people, obviously, but it turned my fckn stomach

I loved Elle Varner's mix tape and first album.  She had a very unique sound.  And I don't think she was ever trying to be a pop mega star.  I know that's all some of you think there is.  She was just trying to be a great artist who made good music.  I don't really know what happened.  I think a lot of the new r&b acts have it harder because r&b, in general, isn't in a good place.

Right.  I feel some of the people here don't get her or probably haven't heard very much of her music.  She's not some cookie cutter artist.  At least she wasn't on her first project.
