Although it is used by many doctors and patients for legitimate reasons, accidental overdoses from Vicodin and other narcotic pain relievers kill more people than car accidents in 17 states now, according to Dr. Thomas Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Public health and law enforcement officials in the Obama administration also said in a press conference that painkillers are now responsible for more deaths than crack in the 1980s and black tar heroin in the 1970s combined.

Drug companies control the medical business in this country. Why they're fighting so hard against The Affordable Care Act because it puts restrictions and increased oversight on narcotic prescriptions among other things. It's in their best interest to keep the populace doped up and stupid.

But marijuana is still illegal cause they can't figure out how to tax/control the sale of it

Yes pain is subjective. And the customer is always right
It's very sad. We are the only country in the world with a medical system based off of capitalism. These are the results. Hospitals and clinics are mainly run by corporations now. They care about the bottom line. Could care less about the patients, I mean the customers.
