I tried to stay away from this convo cuz I always FUME talking bout the era... but DYK would've forced the label to invest in a 3rd single as well cuz it def would've blew up! They would've really been surprised with the outcome I believe... But fuck it now...

I can't listen to this album without getting a lil mad. That's why I don't play it often. She really had some radio friendly singles on here that could've extended this era.

And yeah, DYK would've been the perfect 2nd single. She would've been the 1st female artist to put out a Mike Will Made-It track and that alone would've been fire! And then Slower as the 3rd single would just be perfection. I don't see why they felt the need to release WD to cater to her 'old fanbase' so much.

She took it the FCK BACK to a time when the rhythm and lyrics all had to be great

Ugh ... the hook alone the way her voice sounds on it.

Should've been a promo or 3rd single
After awhile I realized they new it was gonna be a one single affair and she most likely fought to release WD

And I'm glad she did. That song is essential brandyness

Would have been real nice, but once they did that dumb ass billboard rule change (Stopping PID from hitting number 1) i knew what time it was. Its a nice thought and very positive, but no. I think it wouldn't have even been top 40, honestly.
