other than that no, I love Rih but most of the times when I hear her music if I really love it I just wish Bey sang it to take it to the next level.

Lemonade slays vocally.  She concentrated on vocals way more with this one than she did on self-titled.  Rihanna can't sing.

Plus, some perceived authenticity gives Lemonade real artistic weight.  She's talking about cheating in a marriage and reconciling.  She's a wife.  Rihanna is not there yet in her personal life, so it wouldn't resonate the same way.

rhianna isn't in the same place as beyonce personally so i couldn't see her making an album like this. lemonade isn't loved because oh it's "beyonce". it's the music, the lyrics, where she is in her life as a wife & mother yet still being a major artist, the subjects the album speaks to and the visuals. it's a well crafted concept album. it would be interesting to see rhi make a more personalized album one day though.

and she's a more convincing singer. Bey couldn't pull off a lot of Rih's mess.

rhianna isn't in the same place as beyonce personally so i couldn't see her making an album like this. lemonade isn't loved because oh it's "beyonce". it's the music, the lyrics, where she is in her life as a wife & mother yet still being a major artist, the subjects the album speaks to and the visuals. it's a well crafted concept album. it would be interesting to see rhi make a more personalized album one day though.
