I personally do not want people to get too caught up in the LGBT aspect of it, and remember that gun regulation is the CORE issue. Cause a man who seemed to have hated the community was able to use a deadly weapon that could kill 50 people in a short span. That shouldn't be allowed.
But thats a really important factor
People have been and will continue to argue about guns forever. I guess sweep one thing under the rug and argue what u feel is the more important point. Can't they both be discussed? Is there a limit on things we can take issue with
No, there's no limit.
But you have to remember this violence takes a different SHAPE each time.
Before it was
college students,
children, now the
gay community...
But there's
ONE common denominator.
Assault Rifles.
GUNS.
And I don't want people to FORGET that is what we need to REMEMBER, at least throughout all of this support for the LGBT.
You can't slaughter 100+ people with a KNIFE so easily before someone tackles your ass. 300 against 1 with a knife or an inferior gun? Would have been easier.
But the gun he had, he had full control...
That is what needs to be changed. We can't allow civilians walking around with that kind of weapon.
