This is true.

As much as I love Cali, sometimes I wish I lived where there were more Black gays. Cali has Black gays, but not nearly as much as the South or East Coast.

At this point, the only ones looking out for the lives of black queer foks are black queers...and even then between all the self hating church fags, the snow queens and the reckless ones who's main goals are regularly getting fucked and making it to Sizzle every year, we don't have that many to lean on.

I think when it comes to social issues,  as a whole, black people are so focused on racism and racial inequality that most other causes just aren't a huge priority....even when they affect other black people unfortunately. But I don't believe that black people just outright hate gays.

idk homophobia is huge problem worldwide, but when the so many majority black countries have laws where you can downright kill gays, it's a problem.

I know colonialism, Christianity, and islam play a part of the problem, but still.
