This is sad.  If there was no criminal case surrounding this, why did the media release the details?  I don't think it's right to posthumously out someone and humiliate his wife publicly.  The funeral is going to be full of side eyes.

His wife was contacted that evening to inform her of her husband?s death. No word on whether she was told about the poppers and the other man. Motel staff did say he was a regular there.

the article on tmz's website isn't as graphic as the one in the op but the fact that he was a regular at the motel, checked in with a man, was found naked, and had poppers & lube in the room...

all the clues are pretty much there.
