The MADtv revival is six weeks away from (sur)reality.

The CW announced on Wednesday that it will unveil the next generation of the late-night sketch comedy series on July 26 at 9 p.m. ET. The cast features eight new performers, who will be joined in each episode by members of the original show, which ran on Fox from 1995 to 2009, reprising their most popular roles. The original cast included such comedic actors as Ike Barinholtz, Alex Borstein, Orlando Jones, Keegan-Michael Key, Phil LaMarr, Artie Lange, Michael McDonald, Jordan Peele, Will Sasso, and Nicole Sullivan.

Among the new cast members are Carlie Craig (Todrick), Chelsea Davison (@Midnight), Jeremy D. Howard (Hollywood Street), Amir K (Last Comic Standing), Lyric Lewis (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Piotr Michael (The Howard Stern Show), Michelle Ortiz (Marvel?s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Adam Ray (The Heat).

The network revealed that a reboot was in the works earlier this spring. ?The MADtv franchise is as vibrant as ever thanks largely to social and digital media appealing to a fan base numbering in the millions that relates to the show?s brand of authentic and irreverent cross-cultural comedy,? David Salzman, who is returning as executive producer/showrunner, said at the time. ?We will continue to present the hard-hitting, laugh-out-loud, wall-to-wall pop culture parody our fans expect, but in a fresh, new way.?

They need some of the funny alum to make guest appearances, like Deb of course, Nicole, Bobby, Ike, Keagan, Jordan

cause this is on The CW and it's kinda destined to get cancelled

Ok, to be fair, I won't judge until I see a couple eps. But yeah, Deb and 'em need to at least be making appearances.
