I used to get this ALL of the time from white people after they found out I did undergrad at Morehouse.

What were some of the things they said?

Why would you want to go to a school that had no diversity? Oddly enough, Morehouse is THE most diverse place I've ever been in terms of education. I did grad school at NYU and it was ALL rich, spoiled white kids.

Many also like to act like people who go to HBCUs only attend as a last result. Almost like we couldn't get into any other school so we settled.

It's ignorant from white people, because most don't understand the context of HBCUs within and outside of the Black community, but Black people ask the same questions and it's ridiculous to me.
