I don't know much about photography

But it's not possible for the background to be crystal clear and the foreground object to be blurry in a candid shot
Don't regular digital cams and cell phones focus on the nearest object?

It's possible. It's out of focus. Maybe a manual SLR lens? I think they swiped it from his FB before his personal page was shut down. There are a few others floating around too. This one is the most "ethnic," so media will continue to run with it.

The weird thing is...if you look in the windows of the shop in the back, you see a shit ton of shadows and reflections of people. It may be 'shopped
