it was okay. These 8 episodes tho, thought they'd at least get 13 :dead:

!!!!!!!!!!! The whole time I watched, I was like "oh... this reminds me of....", but at the same time I feel like that was kinda the point. They wanted that "classic" 80s movie vibe. The mystery was GREAT and so intriguing in the first half, but then it got kinda cheesy and kinda "Oh, I've seen this before" towards the end..

That was intentional.  It's supposed to feel 80's nostalgic.  They had the cast watch all the classics from then, like ET, Stand by Me, and Goonies.

I was just the opposite.  I thought it was more predictable at the beginning (especially Nancy and the teen characters), but it got more interesting when they started exploring the Upside Down and its relationship to the real world.
