yummy

I think it depends on how well their partner is aware of their privilege. A lot of white people live in this bubble where racism suddenly ended when Obama got sworn in and they just can't seem to understand why black folks seem so damns angry.

I do wonder what the conversations are like between interracial during these kind of events.

Real

I personally don't take those people serious.....and sometimes they're the MOST pro-black. It's kinda odd. Like when I found out Franchesca Ramsey had a white husband, she lost alot of credibility to me. I just can't take all the complaining about white people serious when you turn around and marry one.

That's exactly what I mean. Even the most woke/educated/conscious/whatever you wanna call it white person will never fully "get it" because they aren't personally subjected to it.

Empathy goes a long way, but there's something special about having someone in your corner who can fully understand your POV because they've gone it through it themselves.

I can agree with that. The guy in the movie was just like ummm why does it always have to be about race? Like why not just blah blah blah
I can see how there can be a disconnect. I still think it's possible but I get it

It is a bit contradictory to me, and does take some of genuineness... I am sorry if Dr. Umar Johnson had white woman at home, I would not take him seriously.

Yes, I believe so.

If I happen to fall in love with a White man that doesn't take away from my Black Pride whatsoever.

Me personally, I just like men. I don't set out looking for any particular race. Whether he happens to
be Black, White, Latino, Middle Easter, etc., that doesn't change the fact that I'm a Black man and
I'm proud of who I am.

Now if you exclusively only date outside of your race, or purposely set out looking for a White partner, then there's an issue.
