Brandy, who signed with Chameleon Entertainment in 2011, originally sued the label in Los Angeles Superior Court in March of this year. That lawsuit was dismissed earlier this month because Brandy?s recording contract with Chameleon contained a forum selection clause that specified all claims, disputes or agreements would be resolved through New York state or federal courts.

Contracts are so crazy. NY only?

I don't know why her lawyers would've have seen that clause beforehand. They just wasted 4 months.

Could have been a stall tactic. I think the paperwork stated they filed in California because she lives there and cited some difficulty with her having to have it in NY--- which is a claim the court dismissed.

 I don't think Brandy went into this situation knowing she would be fucked over. She's too experienced for that and I think she should get the benefit of the doubt.

Even if she "should have known better" it doesn't mean she deserves to get screwed over. I don't know why her fans are so against her on this issue like you can't be compassionate towards your so called fave, even if she did screw up. You see she is hurting over this and you don't care because you are so angry about not having new music.

You guys talk so authoritatively about a business you know nothing about assuming you are smarter than a woman whose been doing it for 20+ years. What gives you the right to speak on what should have been done when you hold an entry level job- hush!
