I thought about this two days ago. It's really tricky.
A year ago I would have said hell yeah... I guess for gays it really doesn't matter. Me personally I would have sex with any race, but rather try and settle with somebody black or mixed. I just feel it aligns better with the message of self love I want for myself. Dating white or just non-black very often happens for the wrong reasons, not all the time but often.
From a white perspective I obviously like it, from a black perspective I would encourage people to explore the notion of sticking to your "own", as it only results in also further uplifting your spirit and confidence with self.
For straight couples who plan to reproduce and who I would reproduce with, I'd want black children too. And wanting your child to look like you is very legitimate. However you can "improve" your offspring with edgy genetic mixes. Tbh just don't date lighter or "whiter" than yourself for the wrong reasons.
At the end of the day, we are all humans, and should express free love. But it's ok IMO to side eye white lineage. It's an issue of self pride and self love to not go with what society implicitly tells you to.
