  It?s been a huge week for Lady Gaga. The pop star was cast inthe upcoming remake of A Star Is Born and announced the lead single from LG5, ?Perfect Illusion.? She shed a little light on the latter while previewing the song at iHeartRadio?s Music Summit in New York earlier today (August 17). ?The song is about modern ecstasy,? Mother Monster said of the dance anthem, which was produced by Mark Ronson and Tame Impala frontman Kevin Parker. ?We found our sweet, simple, ragey way of saying it.?

A writer for iHeartRadio, who was in attendance, gave his own spin on the song. ?[The song] finds a sweet space in Mother Monster?s catalogue alongside some of her best dance floor anthems,? he opined. ?It?s a cut that touches the highest of highs and lowest of lows in a relationship gone wrong, thus, the perfect illusion.?
