No it's appalling that you would have AIDS, regularly sleep with a man, and not tell him because you're worried about your reputation. Were you worried about it when you were sexing recklessly? unless you were born diseased, in which case you still need to have the decency and respect to let your partner know
but a lot of these HIV cases aren't from people sleeping recklessly
A lot of them are from people who thought they were in commited monogamous relationships
That's another stereotype that positive have to battle
That they were sluts and whores in a former life

He's specifically talking about how Malc would handle the situation though.

"oh if I had AIDS, I would be sexually active and not tell anyone!"

deplorable

omg malc said this? WTF

FlowerBomb

I still remember the first time I read out someone's positive result
He was like 19/20 and said he only had oral sex and never had anal sex
So I was certain the result was going to be negative
When that 2nd dot came up we both fell out of our chairs  :uhh: :dead:
I felt so bad for him because I really thought he was safe

:damselindistress:

Thinking you are in a monogamous mess and trusting someone enough to sleep with them unprotected easily fits under the reckless umbrella.

Unprotected sex is risky business period. Monogamous relationship or not. You're putting yourself at risk

An HIV test can only give you information on activity before 3 months, which means he could STILL have the sauce even if the shit says negative.

wizzy

Granted it must be a tough cross to bear
but that's pretty much your life now
full disclosure to any potential partner

Ok and what if you've been aided for years. Are they still useless?

And would you feel comfortable telling your status to a person you have just been dating for a few days or weeks? After all they could run around telling everyone.
oh, I see what you're saying. If you had it, you wouldn't wanna reveal your status so prematurely, not knowing where the relationship could go and/or not knowing if you'll ever even lay down with this person. I could see that being a thing, but at the same time, it would be kinda messed up if you waited right up until y'all were about to do it to say, "Hey, I'm AIDED!"
