I do think things are changing though.

The younger generations are becoming more open and free.
Older cats stay online fuming over how men from the newer gen are and how they dress.

Which is ironic because technically men dressed and acted more "feminine" in the 60s, 70s, and 80s than they did in the 90s and 2000s the years these hypermasculine men and women miss the most.

yeah, it's weird.

Because they were practically QUEENS in those years. I guess the 90s (and I hate to say this) but the massive growth of rap and the imagery it brought added to this mess.
