Don't blame RCA for Monica and Melinda's incompetence. That Code Red album was trash. The idea behind it was cute, I'll give her that but she only had 3 worthy songs on that album.

I wish she would revisit the sound of MOM. Her fans need personal music from her again. It would be amazing if she finally turned into an artists and created an album around the mess Shannon has been putting her through.

Code Red actually was a solid effort and WAY better than New Life

And anyway I know for a fact RCA pigeon held her and was the reason half of her albums sounded the way they did.

She recorded a lot of dope shit and for some reason the label didn't approve or want it on her albums. They're disgusting.

I'll be glad when she gets the freedom to do as she pleases. I want her on Roc Nation

When the label (Clive) had control we got TBIM, ATS and MOM. Once they let her take the reins we got New Life and Code Red.

Monica is too deep in the game to not have full creative control. Her musicianship is just mediocre. 'Code Red' was a good effort though.
