I'm cracking up @ "We're all black! one in the same!" FOH and please cut the bullshit. AA's treat Africans in general different so it's no We're all black! Kumbaya! mess. Even if you were born here they will ask you right off the bat "Where are you from?" like you're not American citizen and treat you like you're not black AND remind you that you're not super nigger like them.
But I digress, I def. do see Africans an AA's separately. All the Caribbeans I have met blend in well with the AA's tho. There aren't many here in the south.
