Its always a risk that may come with sacrifice, to abandon what made you successful but it also allows for your name and legacy to be mentioned in convos years from now about being a chameleon and not being limited to one sound or audience. Most legends have that era where they tried something new and it may or may not have been commercial viable at the time but it was admired by fans and critics later on.

What Gaga's doing is like a fast food restaurant suddenly selling baked chicken & salads only.  Some will say, "OH! So much bett'! HEALTHIER!!!!" 

But overall, the girls don't sit in the drive thru for a nutritional mess.  She needs to grease it the fuck up, put on a hamburger dress & drag the girls musically.  Re-insert the THEATER!  THE DRAMA!  She was poppin when the music was mindless and club-ready over a Space Cowboy beat.  Stop protesting, stop talking about the gays, and just BOOK!

I get her trying to tone it down, but she completely got rid of what made her interesting in the first place. 

And it doesn't help that the fans who attended the listening party last night said the music is 95% Country & Rock.  nnnnnnn.
