Certain features and demeanors just lend themselves to certain terminology. I see cute for guys with smaller frames, or baby faces, or dimples, or maybe there's something about them that you can't pinpoint but you are attracted to their look. They may be shy or unsure of themselves and not know that they book, actually.

Hot, to me is for guys with great body and confident attitudes.

Sexy is someone with an all around good look, a little this, a little that, but it's more about how they move. And ug mug can be sexy.

Handsome is a cookie cutter face. Like that 'anonymous' mask. Symmetry, probably nice manly bone structure. attractive in a mature, dignified way. Usually has a great smile.

FOINE is anything that makes you gag and a make weird noises to yourself inside. Makes you hold your breath, triple take, feel insecure, and do u-turns.

I think that's so childish to get offended by that lol.  I remember I was saltly af when a family member called my sister "cute" and me "beautiful" when I was a kid Now that I'm older I see it as a bigger compliment. Now, I would be kinda if someone called me "cute". I'm grown, hun. The fuck. Thankfully, I only get "pretty" and "beautiful" comments.

I honestly think handsome > sexy. If a guy calls you handsome or beautiful, I feel like they're speaking about your features and your all around look. Your energy. Cute feels shady to me Idk. Like it's like someone patting you on the head for the effort. Sexy feels very in the moment like LUST is. Someone can be hit in the face and be "sexy" to someone in that moment lol.

I don't see anything wrong with any of those terms. It also depends on who it comes from and the setting you're in. Would anyone want their family members calling them hot and sexy? It also wouldn't be a very appropriate term to use at work, especially from a superior.

Adults seem to get offended by the word cute. They find it babyish and childish. Like a dog, baby, puppy mess etc. I think it just means you have youthful features and carry yourself a certain way. Maybe you're super shy and timid. Alot of people find that cute.

The word sexy is eh to me. I've gotten it a few times but it's always followed by a comment on my body or a body part. Yeah I'm not really here for that. I don't wanna be seen as an object mess.

I really like the word handsome. I get called this and pretty alot. I definitely try to keep myself up and dress for my body type. And alot of people find me being mysterious very attractive or whatever. IDK why

when I see someone that is just SO well put together and exudes confidence and is a bit sex' as well, good attitude.... that's handsome to me
