I really think Tyra is overstating their comparison.  Beverly Peele was younger and literally called Baby Naomi, but Naomi put her under her wing.  And Beverly was much bigger in terms of runway and high fashion modeling.  Tyra only did that for a little while, and only had a few covers compared to them.
